Russian Construction Machinery Market Examined in PMR Report Recently Published at

LONDON – OJSC Raskat and Road Machinery Plant LLC are amongst key players in the Russian construction machinery marketplace. These two companies have a combined share of over 90 percent of the local road rollers market.

At present, less than 2,000 excavators and 1,400 are assembled each year in Russia, a decrease by approximately 5 times and 9 times from early 1990s, respectively.

In 2014, the country imported more than 3,500 backhoe loaders, down by around 3600 from 2013.

The local production of tower cranes grew by more than 43 percent in 2013 and 19 percent in 2014.

Domestic brands largely satisfy the demand of local consumers for mobile cranes. In 2014, the country imported 640 mobile cranes (or 20 percent of domestic production).

Bobcat, XCMG, JCB and SDLG are the most popular wheeled front loaders brands in the country. Their combined share accounted for almost 40 percent in wheeled front loaders imports in 2014.
