Realtek Сollaborates with D-Link on True 11ac IP Cameras

LONDON – Realtek Semiconductor Corp. announced about its collaboration with D-Link Corporation to develop the first next-generation single-chip 11ac and IP camera chip. D-Link’s DCS-935L 2.4/5GHz video streaming camera product line combines Realtek’s IEEE 802.11ac wireless technology with a H.264 video decoder. DCS-935L provides the option to use the 5GHz band to avoid interference from other devices on the crowded 2.4GHz band.

As of FY2013, Realtek’s revenues increased by 14.49% from over TWD 24.6 billion to TWD 28.18 billion. Furthermore, the gross profit rose by 20.24% and exceeded TWD 12.17 billion in FY2013, up from just over TWD 10.12 billion in FY2012. Operating income went beyond TWD 2.42 billion and company’s net income surpassed TWD 3 billion.
