Malaysian Wealth Sector Investigated in New WealthInsight Research Study Now Available at MarketPublishers.com

LONDON - In 2013, the number of high net worth individuals (HNWIs) was more than 26,000 in Malaysia, an increase by 1.7 percent Y-o-Y, while it was 3.7 percent a year earlier. Each HNWI held approximately USD 5,823,560 in wealth. Their total wealth surpassed the USD 150.5 billion mark. In late 2013, Malaysian HNWIs held approximately one quarter (USD 38 billion) of their wealth not in their home country.

By 2018, the number of local HNWIs is expected to improve by approximately 13 percent to amount to over 30,050. HNWI wealth is forecast to be USD 206 billion by 2018, an increase by about 28 percent.
