LONDON – With the growing economy and urbanisation rates, as well as the rapid development of the automotive and tire industries in China in the past decade, the country’s demand for synthetic rubber will keep on mushrooming in return up to 2017.
By end-2012, China’s synthetic rubber production capacity and output volume surpassed 4mn tonnes and 3.6mn tonnes, respectively. There were over twenty domestic synthetic rubber enterprises, among which Sinopec and CNPC took top two positions with the total production capacity comprising more than half of the total production capacity in China. In 2013, the production capacity of synthetic rubber keeps on increasing in China. Considering feedstock supply, downstream demand and new production capacity additions, the output volumes of butadiene rubber and styrene butadiene rubber types are expected to reach 1.36mn tonnes and 920,000 tonnes, respectively, by the end of 2013.
In-demand market research study “China's Synthetic Rubber Industry Research, 2013-2017” drawn up by China Research and Intelligence (CRI) offers unbiased and comprehensive insights into the Chinese synthetic rubber industry.
The report gives a detailed overview of synthetic rubber supply in China, discloses information on the production capacity and output volume of synthetic rubber and its major types, examines the local demand for the product from downstream industries, looks at synthetic rubber import and export operations in China. A variety of key factors influencing the development of the national synthetic rubber industry are considered, too. Additionally, the research examines the production status of the leading domestic synthetic rubber enterprises, and concludes with extensive market forecasts up to 2017.
Major synthetic rubber types discussed include: styrene butadiene rubber (SBR), butadiene rubber (BR), isobutylene-isoprene rubber (IIR), ethylene propylene rubber (EPR).
