Stadium Group plc Acquires Intelligent Displays Business, According to BAC Report

LONDON – In September Stadium Group Plc acquired IGT Industries Ltd (“IGT”) by purchasing its entire share capital. IGT engages in design, development and manufacture of intelligent displays in industrial volumes. It is one of the UK’s most advanced companies in its field, equipped with the newest technologies and rich product portfolio. IGT serves various markets, like marine, aviation, medicine, transportation, food processing, retail, etc. The price of the deal was announced as GBP 4.2 M.

This acquisition has become Stadium Group’s first step into totally new and prospective market of adjacent electronic technologies. It is anticipated to empower company’s current segments, Power and EMS businesses.

Stadium is regaining its financial strength which was shattered by 2008 crisis. As for the FY 2011 the company was able to show noticeable improvement in main indices: revenue went up by 0.2% to GBP 44.9 M, gross profit added 6.5% and amounted GBP 8.6 M, operating income increased by 27.3% to GBP 4.2 M, and net income rocketed by 30% and reached GBP 2.6 M. The results for the latest audited semi-annual period ended June 2012 state revenue of GBP 20.9 M, gross profit of GBP 4.1 M, operating income of GBP 0.7 M, net income of GBP 0.4 M. UK region was the main revenue bringer; however, only EU managed to show improvement over the H1 2011 period. Electronics segment slowed down during the past half year, while Power segment added some 12% against the corresponding period of 2011.
