N,N-dimethylcyclohexylamine (also called DMCHA; cyclohexanamine; N,N-dimethyl-; cyclohexylamine, N,N-dimethyl-; cyclohexylamine,N,N-dimethyl-; dimethylcyclohexylamine) is a strongly basic, clear, colorless-to-straw-colored liquid amine; with the formula C8H17N; melting at -60 °C and boiling at 160 °C. The material has a characteristic amine odor and tends to darken on standing, with no effect on reactivity. DMCHA is readily soluble in common organic solvents, but is essentially insoluble in water.

Most commonly, DMCHA is used as a catalyst for rigid polyurethane foams. A major application is insulation foams, including spray, slabstock, board laminate and refrigeration formulations.

DMCHA catalyst is also used in rigid foam furniture frame and decorative parts manufacturing. It can be used alone without any tin catalyst, or used together with other catalysts depending on the process and specific requirements.

N,N-dimethylcyclohexylamine is also used in the production of fuel oil additives. Addition of small dosage in middle distillates inhibits sludge formation and improves color stability when used with metal deactivator. Derivates of DMCHA act here as excellent corrosion inhibitors for liquid fuels.
