Hitachi Zosen Corporation Acquires Asia Pacific Solutions According to BAC Report

LONDON – On November 29 Hitachi Zosen Corporation announced its acquisition of Asia Pacific Solutions, a Vietnamese IT service provider in CAD/CAE systems. Hitachi has already started engineering operations upon its new business license.
The new wholly-owned subsidiary is Hitachi’s key to capacity increase. APS will serve as a supplementary business for Japanese manufacturing sites as well as a base international production expansion.
Hitachi Zosen quarterly performance is contradictory. June 2011 showed main indices fall, while September brought significant recovery. Comparing to March results revenue and gross profit declined by 28.7% and 27.3% respectively. But September results look positive against the previous period ended June 30. Revenue and net income increased by 23.8% and 55.2%, and amounted to JPY 69281 M and JPY 992 M respectively.
