Shima Seiki Manufacturing Ltd. Launched New Product According to BAC Report

LONDON – Last week Shima Seiki has launched a new computerized flat knitting machine SWG FIRST 154 S21, that has the following specs:
- 21 gauge
- shaping capability
- 21 needles to the inch cut
- gauge range 18 to 26 for single jersey
- 18 to 20 gauge for rib fabrics.
- i-DSCS+DTC allow high-speed knitting
- enhanced 3D simulation
This new machine has slide needle technology that makes lightweight jersey fabrics a reality. Besides, it offers easy modeling and pattern designing.
Company’s recent financial performance marks a recovery for Shima Seiki. Financial crisis hit in 2008 strongly affected company’s business, slowing down its activities. In June 30 2011 revenues and net incomes amounted to JPY 16402 M and JPY 1723 M respectively. In FY 2010 those indices reached JPY 42781 M and JPY 769 M, marking a 16% and 140.8% increase respectively.
