Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction Optimizes Project Management System According to BAC Report

LONDON – With ongoing projects worldwide, Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction always stives to optimize its management systems so the construction works are finished on time and remain within budget. That’s why recently the company upgraded its project management; now project optimization network has entered a new level of synergy.

The large-volume, long-lasting nature of all works forces Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction to strictly control construction jobs, which requires significant financial and human resources. Implemented in March 2010, new management system improved manufacturing, billing and costing processes; and also established a more reliable risk management scheme. The new management system was fully integrated into Doosan financial management system. Therefore it reduced project estimate terms from 15 to just 1 day.

Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction recent financial performance improved: in 2010 the company along with its subsidiaries generated KRW 20410 billion, which is 13% more than in 2009. Net incomes increased by 135% which is a good sign of recovery. However, the company’s revenues slowed down in the last quarter while net incomes showed a slight increase.

Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction is engaged in building of coal and nuclear plants, water distillation facilities, manufacture of water treatment systems; it also develops green energy generation technologies such as wind turbines and fuel cells.
