Parekh Aluminex Eyes New AF Applications According to BAC Report

LONDON – Founded in 1994 and headquartered in Mumbai, Indian market leader Parekh Aluminex does not want to stop at what has been accomplished. The company considers new applications for its aluminum foil products, so new product lines can be set up in the following years.
There are plenty of opportunities added in non food applications of the AF:
- Decoration. Heavy aluminum foils can be used for decorative purposes and art crafts, especially when painted in vivid colors.
- Geochemical sampling. Aluminum foil is used by geochemists as a protective cover for rock samples found outside and brought to the laboratory, where the sample undergoes biomarker analysis.
- Polishing steel. Foil can be used to remove corrode from steel, it glazes steel surfaces when put in water and rubbed into steel. Aluminum foil is so soft it does not scratch the steel side.
- Ribbon microphones. Aluminum sheet can be used in ribbon microphones as a replacement for silver compound.
Company’s recent financial performance is more than satisfying to bear diversification plans. The last four quarters show constant growth comparing to the end of FY2009-2010, though in Q3 and Q4 2010-2011 there was a slight ductile in operating and net income. Overall performance improved by 13% in Q1 2011-2012 comparing to the same period in FY2010-2011.
Last four years’ trends reflect stable growth by 202%. Revenues and net income in March 31 2011 reflect a significant gain due to purchase of additional machinery and construction of a new plant. These new assets haven’t showed their full potential yet and are to further multiple company’s output.
