CTC Bio Inc To Expand Its Animal Feed Business

CTC Bio Inc. is a Korea-based company holding more than 35 patents in Pharmaceutical segment and using its own functional food technology.
In 2010 the company made steps towards expansion of its animal feed segment. In September 2010 it settled new subsidiary dealing with distribution, import and export of ingredient feed and creep feed. A month later, CTC Bio Incorporation announced the acquirement of patent that covers b-vaccine composition for preventing animal disease comprising the same, from iNtRON Biotechnology Inc. for KRW 500 million. Therefore CTC fully prepared itself to settlement of a new product line.
During FY2010 CTC Bio Inc. revenues amounted KRW 87,561.4M, representing the growth by 7.27%. Net income in 2010 was KRW 861.3M, which is a 66.5% downgrade from the results of FY2009. The company generated the revenue, but total expenses appeared to be higher.
Overall financial dynamic of the company look positive. At the moment CTC Bio Inc. is still a newcomer to pharmaceutical industry, focusing its business area on New tech know-how, Trial consulting (pre-clinical, clinical), Manufacturing consulting, Toll manufacturing and Research projects (national project, B to B project).
With entering KOSDAQ stock exchange, CTC Bio obtained an opportunity to raise its funds by attracting investors and shareholders. Bigger funds will allow the company to further invest in promising food and feed supplement technologies. Raised assets also enable the company to expand its distribution and service network, establishing representative offices in various countries.
CTC Bio is yet to arrange partner relations with other laboratories, universities, hospitals and veterinary facilities. Such collaboration would give a remarkable opportunity for testing conduction and experience exchange.

It also provides its own know-how licenses, drug coating services.
