Tungsten carbide determines the substrate's hardness and wear resistance; cobalt content influences toughness and resistance to chipping; and grain size dictates cutting edge strength and suitability for precision machining. Meanwhile, aluminum-chromium targets and the PVD process determine coating thickness, adhesion strength, residual stress, oxidation resistance temperature, and cutting tool service life. The midstream sector encompasses cemented carbide sintering, grinding and shaping, edge treatment, PVD coating, and inspection; the downstream sector serves industries such as automotive components, mold making, aerospace, general machinery, and precision manufacturing.
