High resilience polyether polyol is a highly active polyether polyol used to produce high resilience flexible polyurethane foam. It is usually made with propylene oxide and ethylene oxide as the main monomers, glycerin, trimethylolpropane and other polyhydroxy compounds as the starting agent, through ring opening polymerization, EO capping and other processes. It has the characteristics of high molecular weight, high primary hydroxyl content, strong reactivity, stable cell structure, good resilience, low compression set, good bearing capacity and strong fatigue resistance. This product can react with TDI, MDI, or complex isocyanate systems and is mainly used for car seats, sofa cushions, mattresses, office chairs, rail transit seats, sports cushioning materials, packaging cushioning materials, and high-end molded foam products. It is a key basic material for improving the comfort, support, and long-term durability of polyurethane foam. In 2025, global High Resilience Polyether Polyols production reached approximately 1,367 K MT, with an average global market price of around US$ 1,920 per MT.

High resilience polyether polyols belong to the high value-added subdivision of soft foam polyether polyols. The demand is mainly driven by the growth of demand for car seat comfort, furniture and mattress consumption upgrading, rail transit seats, sports and leisure products, and high-end molded foam.
