Wireless charging refers to the transfer of electric power across an air gap without physical connectors, using electromagnetic fields to deliver energy from a transmitter to a receiver embedded in the end device. The mainstream technology routes include inductive charging, magnetic resonance, radio frequency–based power transfer and beam-steered electromagnetic waves.
