Tariff Trends SnapShot 144 - 5G developments from 2019 to 2020
With SnapShot 144 Telecoms Pricing looks at the most recent 5G deployments since the last 5G SnapShot published in October 2019 (SnapShot 139).
It focuses on the new 5G launches, including in China, where the 3 MNOs (China Mobile, China Unicom & China Telecom) have all launched their 5G services in November 2019.
It also looks at the launches of 5G services in the Middle East and by Vodafone in New Zealand and Spain. In November Orange Group launched its first 5G service in Romania and also announced its own branded 5G smartphone called the Orange Neva jet.
Average 5G service pricing reflects the market conditions present in each country, with the Middle East having high average pricing, but with lower rates available in Europe.
