Electrolux has fallen down the consumer appliances rankings at global level since 2009, mainly to the benefit of Asian competitors. 2014 was a better year than 2013, but the start of 2015 was slow, with difficulties in some key markets. The company has not been shy to grow by acquisition. In 2014, it acquired GE’s appliances but the deal still awaits regulatory approval, and faces some obstacles.
