Their open-frame configuration reduces abdominal compression in the prone position and provides continuous access for surgical manipulation, anesthesia management and two-dimensional or three-dimensional intraoperative imaging, improving positioning stability, imaging visibility and procedural efficiency. They are mainly used in spinal fusion, spinal decompression, deformity correction, cervical procedures, thoracolumbar procedures, minimally invasive spine surgery and image-guided spinal surgery.
