The components are melt-blended or solvent-dissolved in a controlled temperature and clean environment to adjust to the target melting point window and viscosity range. After multi-stage precision filtration to remove particulate and gel impurities, the final product is delivered in liquid form or by continuous casting, cooling, and cutting into solid rods or wax films. The real barrier to entry for this entire production line lies not in the formulation ratio itself, but in the extreme suppression of metal ions, particles, and sulfur halide impurities, as well as the control of rheological consistency and batch stability. Even trace amounts of residue or localized uneven crystallization can become scratches or wafer slippage during subsequent grinding and polishing processes, resulting in low yield.

Its market role is being pulled in two opposite directions. On one hand, the expansion of production of thin-film and compound semiconductor materials such as sapphire and silicon carbide still cannot do without the flexible fixing force of wax, which can fill the highly undulating morphology and provide extremely high shear strength. On the other hand, the mainstream production capacity of temporary bonding increasingly prefers tape and spin-coated polymer systems in exchange for cleaner removal paths and higher automated throughput.
