Semiconductor grade diamond heat sinks are high-performance thermal management devices made with high-purity CVD diamond as the core material. They are used in the heat dissipation path of semiconductor chips or power devices, utilizing their extremely high thermal conductivity (typically 1000?2200 W/m?K) to rapidly conduct and diffuse the heat generated by the chip, thereby significantly reducing device junction temperature and improving power density and reliability.

The upstream of the industry chain mainly includes carbon source gases such as high-purity methane and hydrogen, substrate materials such as diamond seed crystals, silicon wafers, silicon carbide (SiC), and molybdenum wafers, as well as suppliers of microwave plasma chemical vapor deposition (MPCVD) equipment, vacuum equipment, metallization materials, and packaging auxiliary materials. The midstream consists of semiconductor-grade diamond heat sink manufacturers, who grow high thermal conductivity polycrystalline or single-crystal diamond films using CVD processes and then prepare diamond heat sinks, heat spreaders, and composite heat dissipation substrates through processes such as cutting, polishing, thinning, metallization, copper plating, and bonding encapsulation. The downstream mainly uses diamond in high-power-density electronic products such as AI server GPUs and ASIC chips, optical communication lasers, data center accelerator cards, 5G/6G communication base stations, and aerospace electronic equipment. Diamond's ultra-high thermal conductivity is used to solve the heat dissipation bottleneck of advanced semiconductor devices, improving device power density, reliability, and lifespan.
