A Semiconductor Gas Flow Ratio Controller (FRC) is a precision gas delivery control module used in semiconductor, flat-panel display and adjacent vacuum thin-film process equipment. By combining thermal mass-flow sensing, pressure or valve-based flow control, closed-loop ratio algorithms and digital communication interfaces, an FRC divides a total process-gas stream into two or more output channels according to programmed ratios. Its primary function is to control gas distribution across center-edge zones, multi-zone chamber inlets, multi-chamber delivery paths or process-specific gas zones, supporting improved within-wafer uniformity, repeatability and dynamic recipe control in etch, strip, ashing, PECVD, CVD and ALD processes.
