In MLCC manufacturing, the powder is mixed with binders and solvents to form ceramic slurry, processed into green sheets, printed with internal electrodes, stacked, cut and sintered into dense dielectric ceramic layers.

The product is widely used in smartphones, computers, telecommunications equipment, automotive electronics, industrial control systems, servers, power modules and consumer electronics. Major production and technology supply are concentrated in Japan, China, South Korea, the United States and Europe.
