Sklavenitis J&S SA in Retailing (Greece)
Sklavenitis J&S made its biggest strategic move in its history during 2016 by proposing to merge with bankrupt rival Marinopoulos in a final attempt to save the debt-ridden group. If this transaction is given the green light, it will create the biggest grocery group in Greece, and it will result in Sklavenitis J&S using its banner outside of the capital Athens for the first time.
