Therefore, this product is mainly used in halogen-free flame-retardant epoxy resin systems, especially in electronic material applications such as copper-clad laminate, prepreg, PCB ink, and semiconductor packaging material, where flame retardancy, heat resistance, dielectric performance, and reliability are highly required. Compared with conventional phenolic hardener, Phosphorus-containing Phenolic Resin Hardener combines curing functionality and reactive flame-retardant functionality within the same resin structure, helping reduce the negative impact of externally added flame retardant on heat resistance, water absorption, and electrical performance.

The upstream materials mainly include phenol, bisphenol A, DCPD phenol compound, formaldehyde, paraformaldehyde, DOPO, phosphate ester monomer, phosphine oxide intermediate, catalyst, and electronic-grade solvent. Among them, the phenolic resin backbone determines curing reactivity, crosslinking density, and basic heat resistance, while the phosphorus-containing monomer determines flame-retardant efficiency, phosphorus content, and compatibility with halogen-free systems. The production process generally involves phenolic condensation, phosphorus-containing group introduction, molecular weight control, solution preparation, or solidification treatment, with strict requirements for hydroxyl equivalent weight, phosphorus content, softening point, viscosity, volatile content, ionic impurity, and storage stability. The downstream customers mainly include electronic-grade epoxy resin formulators, copper-clad laminate manufacturers, prepreg manufacturers, PCB ink manufacturers, packaging material manufacturers, and insulation material manufacturers. The product is usually used together with epoxy resin, accelerator, filler, solvent, and other additive, ultimately serving applications such as halogen-free FR-4, high-Tg copper-clad laminate, electronic insulation material, and flame-retardant epoxy composite material.
