Acellular pertussis-diphtheria-tetanus combined vaccine (DTaP combined vaccine) is an adsorbed combined vaccine that uses acellular pertussis antigen (such as pertussis toxin PT, filamentous hemagglutinin FHA, etc.) instead of the traditional whole-cell pertussis components, combined with diphtheria toxoid and tetanus toxoid, to prevent pertussis, diphtheria, and tetanus. Compared with whole-cell pertussis-diphtheria-tetanus vaccine (DTwP), acellular vaccines have a lower incidence of adverse reactions and better safety, and have therefore become the mainstream product in most developed countries and emerging markets. This vaccine can also be further combined with antigens of polio, Hib, hepatitis B, etc., to form multivalent vaccines, which are widely used in the basic immunization and booster immunization programs for infants and young children. In 2025, the global annual demand is estimated to be approximately 180-240 million doses.
