Its primary application is helicopter propulsion systems, where it drives rotor systems through a gearbox to generate lift and thrust. It is also used in unmanned rotorcraft and VTOL platforms. The operating principle involves compressed air entering the combustor, mixing with fuel, and generating high-temperature gas that drives turbine rotation, ultimately delivering mechanical power through the output shaft.
