It typically covers 11 kW, 22 kW or higher AC charging power and may be integrated with DC/DC converters, power distribution units and bidirectional charging functions in 2-in-1, 3-in-1 or high-voltage box architectures. In 2025, Global High Power On-board Charger sales are estimated at about 7,800 K Units, with an average ex-works price of around 260 US$/Unit.

The high-power OBC value chain includes upstream SiC/MOSFET/IGBT power devices, magnetic components, capacitors, controllers, connectors, heat sinks, housings and automotive software; midstream OBC, high-voltage box and integrated power module manufacturers; and downstream EV OEMs, PHEV/BEV platforms, light commercial vehicles and high-voltage electrical architectures.
