An energy router is an integrated power electronics and control device for the energy internet and microgrids. It typically employs a multi-port bidirectional converter and a digital control system to achieve bidirectional power flow control and strategy-based allocation between distributed photovoltaic, energy storage, charging pile loads and the power grid. It also has power routing, information sensing, and scheduling coordination capabilities, and can be used in park microgrids, building energy management, DC distribution nodes, and source-grid-load-storage coordination scenarios. Global sales are projected to reach approximately 52,000 units in 2025, with an average selling price of approximately US$7,800 per unit and a capacity utilization rate of approximately 68%. The upstream sector primarily consists of power semiconductor modules (IGBTs and SiC), driver and isolation devices, magnetic components, capacitors, resistors, sampling sensors, industrial control motherboards, communication modules, heat dissipation and structural components, as well as EMS software and control algorithm suppliers.
