High-current products typically deliver 10 A, 100 A, 200 A, 600 A or higher DC test currents and are engineered for circuit breakers, disconnectors, busbars, cable joints and other high-current connections, often under severe electromagnetic interference. Precision benchtop and portable instruments emphasize resolution, accuracy, thermal-EMF suppression, temperature compensation, measurement speed, low-power resistance modes and automated interfaces. Both routes rely on four-terminal Kelvin measurement, but differ substantially in current-source design, heat dissipation, protection, noise filtering, duty cycle and software. Consequently, the broad supplier pool contains many electrical-test companies, while the core formal list is restricted to companies with clearly documented dedicated instruments and credible manufacturing or product-development evidence.

The global supply structure is fragmented and regionally specialized. Europe has the densest concentration of dedicated suppliers, with established manufacturers in the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, Poland and Slovenia. North American companies are particularly visible in aerospace bonding, laboratory metrology and utility diagnostics, while Japan?s Hioki holds a differentiated position in high-precision and production-oriented resistance measurement. Taiwan-based suppliers are strong in benchtop electronic instruments and automated test equipment. Demand remains anchored by circuit-breaker maintenance, switchgear production, busbar inspection, cable and conductor testing, and motor or transformer manufacturing. Battery modules and packs require repeatable detection of very small resistance differences across welded busbars, laser welds, bolted joints, fuses and other current paths.
