Precision benchtop and portable instruments emphasize resolution, accuracy, thermal-EMF suppression, temperature compensation, measurement speed, low-power resistance modes and automated interfaces. Both routes rely on four-terminal Kelvin measurement, but differ substantially in current-source design, heat dissipation, protection, noise filtering, duty cycle and software. Consequently, the broad supplier pool contains many electrical-test companies, while the core formal list is restricted to companies with clearly documented dedicated instruments and credible manufacturing or product-development evidence.
