Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF) is a technology commonly used to separate, concentrate and purify biological molecules (such as proteins, DNA, viruses, etc.). In TFF, solutions are passed through a series of porous membranes that selectively allow passage of solutes while blocking the passage of larger solute particles. A major advantage of TFF is that it can achieve efficient separation and concentration by adjusting flow rate and pressure without causing structural damage to the solute. Note: Tangential Flow Filtration encompasses a wide range of devices, including: Single-use Systems, Reusable Systems, Membrane Filters, Cassettes, Cartridges, Filtration Accessories and Others. The sales and prices of these various equipment types can vary significantly. Simply counting the number of units sold does not provide a meaningful comparison due to these variations.
