The global 3D Printed Heat Sink market size is predicted to grow from US$ 17.6 million in 2025 to US$ 65.9 million in 2032; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 21.2% from 2026 to 2032.

3D printed heat sinks are heat sinks manufactured using 3D printing technology and are used to conduct and release heat. With the rapid development of electronic components and their application products, heat loss and thermal safety issues have become increasingly prominent. Traditional heat sink manufacturing methods have problems such as large size, heavy weight, cumbersome manufacturing process, and complex channels that easily cause increased medium flow resistance and flow dead zones, resulting in a significant reduction in heat dissipation rate. 3D printing technology has the characteristics of overall molding and is suitable for printing complex structures, which can effectively solve these problems.

3D printing breaks through the limitations of traditional processing, supports topological optimization, lattice structure, and bionic design (such as fractal channels and leaf vein-like flow channels), significantly improving surface area and heat dissipation efficiency. Integrated printing of heat sinks and heat pipes, temperature spreaders or electronic housings reduces the thermal resistance of the assembly interface. Typical cases include CPU/GPU integrated heat dissipation modules.

The printing process of copper alloys (such as CuCrZr) and aluminum alloys (AlSi10Mg) is mature, and emerging materials such as graphene-reinforced composites and ceramic-metal hybrid materials have entered the experimental stage. Local thermal conductivity differentiation is achieved through multi-material printing, such as high thermal conductivity base with low-density fins.

Laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) technology can achieve a fin thickness of <100?m, which is suitable for microelectronic heat dissipation. Multi-laser systems and automated post-processing technologies promote small-batch personalized production, such as customized heat dissipation solutions for servers. Aerospace (satellite thermal control), electric vehicles (IGBT module heat dissipation), 5G base stations (AAU efficient cooling).

The power density of electronic equipment continues to rise (such as AI chips breaking through 1000W), and traditional heat dissipation solutions are approaching physical limits. Scenarios such as electric vehicle fast charging and supercomputing centers place stringent requirements on lightweight and highly reliable heat dissipation. The price of metal printing equipment has dropped by an average of 10-15% per year (such as competition from domestic equipment manufacturers), and the cost of copper printing has dropped from $500/kg to less than $200/kg.
