Traditional cell culture techniques are usually carried out on a two-dimensional plane, however, cell growth in vivo is often carried out in a three-dimensional space. Therefore, in order to more accurately simulate the in vivo environment, microchip 3D cell culture technology has emerged. The technology suspends cells within tiny three-dimensional structures, allowing cells to grow and interact under conditions that more closely resemble real environments. This technique could provide a more realistic three-dimensional environment, allowing cells to grow and interact in more natural conditions, better mimicking what happens in living organisms. Microchip technology allows a large number of cell culture experiments to be performed simultaneously on tiny chips, enabling high-throughput cell research and drug screening. Microchip 3D cell culture technology is applicable to a variety of cell types, including tumor cells, organ-specific cells, etc.
