A single-chamber temporary external pacemaker is a battery-powered external pulse generator used for short-term cardiac pacing support in a monitored clinical environment. It is connected to a temporary endocardial or epicardial pacing lead through a patient cable and delivers pacing pulses to either the atrium or the ventricle through one pacing channel.
