The platform can support basic on-chip interconnect, splitting, coupling, filtering, and delay functions, while also enabling higher-value system functions through resonators, arrayed waveguide gratings, optical phased arrays, and external-cavity structures. As MPW runs, PDKs, standard building block libraries, and packaging and testing capabilities mature, customers no longer need to build a full process from the ground up. Instead, they can complete design validation, prototype iteration, and volume introduction on established platforms. As a result, industry value is expanding from standalone waveguide fabrication to coordinated optimization across materials, design, wafer runs, testing, packaging, and applications, creating long-term platform-level growth potential.

Demand for silicon nitride waveguides is growing across multiple application scenarios in parallel.
