The upstream includes high-performance computing (HPC) hardware, GPU/CPU chips, numerical algorithms, and basic models; the midstream is mainly composed of multiphysics simulation software platforms and solution providers, responsible for providing modeling, solvers, visualization, and engineering tools; and the downstream is widely used in industries such as semiconductors, automotive, aerospace, energy equipment, electronics and electrical engineering, and medical devices for product design verification and performance optimization. Overall, upstream hardware and chip manufacturers have relatively low gross margins but large scale, while midstream software and platform manufacturers typically have higher gross margins (generally ranging from 60% to 90%) due to high technological barriers and high product standardization. Downstream application and system integration services have gross margins at a medium level (approximately 20% to 50%), exhibiting an industrial structure characterized by 'upstream scale-driven, midstream high added value, and downstream application-oriented'.

Multiphysics modeling and simulation is a computational approach in engineering and science used to simulate and analyze systems in which multiple physics interact. These physical fields include mechanics, thermodynamics, electromagnetism, fluid mechanics, acoustics, optics, etc., which often coexist and influence each other in real-world problems.
