Their defining properties include fine grain structure, high density, isotropy, high thermal conductivity, high-temperature resistance, thermal shock resistance, machinability and low impurity levels. Main product categories include uncoated high-purity isostatic graphite parts, surface-treated graphite parts, SiC-coated graphite components, TaC-coated graphite components, and process-specific graphite components used in crystal growth, epitaxy, MOCVD, ion implantation, CVD/PVD and etching equipment. SiC- and TaC-coated components usually use high-purity isostatic graphite as the substrate, but should normally be modeled as downstream high-value coating components rather than pure isostatic graphite components.
