Intensive Recirculating Aquaculture System is a relatively new and highly intensive aquaculture model. It collects and recycles wastewater generated in the aquaculture pond through a series of water treatment units, removes pollutants such as residual bait and feces, total ammonia nitrogen (TAN), nitrite nitrogen (NO??-N), and performs physical filtration, biological filtration, CO? removal, disinfection, oxygenation, temperature control and other treatments on the wastewater, and then re-inputs the purified water into the aquaculture pond to achieve the recycling of water resources.
