Coherent Optical Modules will continue extending into shorter and denser interconnect layers, while manufacturing is shifting toward customer-proximate qualification, geographically diversified fulfillment, and higher automation in test. The real growth engines for Optical Modules are therefore inside AI fabrics, inter-rack optical interconnect, campus-scale DCI, coherent pluggables, and the preparatory stage for co-packaged optics and optical I/O. In that setting, leadership in Optical Modules will be determined less by who announces the highest headline speed and more by who combines hyperscaler qualification, manufacturing yield, thermal competence, and upstream component orchestration.
