Through controlled non-destructive pre-inspection and destructive dissection processes, it inspects, measures, and records the device's external condition, packaging structure, internal materials, bonding quality, chip adhesion, plating and metallization, hermeticity, internal atmosphere, contaminants, prohibited materials, cross-sectional structure, and microscopic defects. Typical process steps include visual inspection, X-ray, acoustic microscopy, hermeticity testing, PIND, opening or capping, internal visual inspection, bond pull testing, ball shearing/chip shearing, cross-sectional grinding and polishing, optical microscopy, SEM/EDS analysis, metallographic analysis, and report assessment.
