A2 Optical Fiber Preform is a high-purity silica glass preform used to draw G.657.A2 bend-insensitive single-mode optical fiber, and it belongs to the upstream key materials of the optical fiber and cable industry chain. Optical fiber preforms determine the refractive index profile, attenuation, bend resistance, drawing yield, and optical consistency of the fiber, making them the primary material that controls fiber performance. The industry generally classifies preforms into categories A, B, and C based on performance and application levels, among which A2 preforms are considered high-end products, mainly used to produce G.657.A2 single-mode fibers with stronger bend resistance, lower bending loss, and suitability for high-density cabling scenarios.
