These raw materials can be synthesized through molecular design and chemical processes such as the Mannich reaction to create triazine macromolecular charring agents with varying side chain structures. Triazine macromolecular charring agents are primarily used as a carbon source for halogen-free intumescent flame retardants, and are used to flame-retard materials such as polyolefin resins (such as PP), polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), and polyvinyl alcohol (PA). Their key advantages include excellent water resistance, non-migration properties, excellent dispersibility, and high thermal stability. They can form a dense char layer at high temperatures, effectively delaying combustion. They can also be combined with other flame retardants to enhance flame retardancy.
