It exists as a gas under normal temperature and pressure, resistant to acids and alkalis, and not easily decomposed?only dissociating under high temperature or strong plasma environments. Manufactured via fluoride synthesis and high-precision purification processes, it is divided into industrial grade and electronic grade according to purity requirements (electronic grade controls impurity content to below ppm level). Sulfur Hexafluoride (SF?): Industrial-grade (99.995%-99.999%) is $4 - $9/kg; electronic-grade reaches $40 - $60/kg. A 40L/50L cylinder costs $200 - $450, and 500L drums are $300 each. Bulk orders over 1,000kg drop it to around $8/kg.
Tetrafluoromethane (CF?): Industrial 40L - 50L cylinders are $350 - $380 each. 99% pure CF? is $395 for 100g and $700 for 250g. 99.999% high-purity CF? for industry is about $20/kg for bulk orders over 1,000kg. Prices vary with purity, order volume and packaging.
