Pre-oxidized fiber aerogel thermal insulation material is a high-performance thermal insulation material composed of pre-oxidized fibers as the substrate and combined with aerogel. Pre-oxidized fiber is formed by thermally oxidizing polyacrylonitrile (PAN) polymer after pretreatment at approximately 230?C in air. It serves as an "intermediate product" between PAN and carbon fiber, exhibiting high strength, high modulus, low thermal conductivity, and excellent mechanical properties. Aerogel, on the other hand, is a highly dispersed solid material consisting of a nanoporous network structure formed by the aggregation of colloidal particles or polymer molecules, with the pores filled with a gaseous dispersed medium. It possesses extremely low density, high porosity, low thermal conductivity, and good optical properties. Pre-oxidized fiber aerogel thermal insulation material combines the two, inheriting the advantages of both. It retains the excellent thermal insulation properties of aerogel while enhancing the flexibility, strength, and stability of the material through the incorporation of pre-oxidized fibers.
