Its core feature is the low Si-OH content in the quartz glass structure, which helps reduce hydroxyl absorption in the near-infrared and mid-infrared bands. The material also features high purity, low impurity content, good thermal stability, high transmittance, and excellent optical homogeneity. Compared with hydrous/high-OH synthetic quartz material, Low-OH Synthetic Fused Silica is more suitable for semiconductors, optoelectronics, aerospace, medical, and other high-end optical applications that require infrared transmittance, high-temperature stability, and low water content.

Its upstream mainly includes high-purity silicon tetrachloride, high-purity oxygen, hydrogen, chlorine or other dehydroxylation process gases, high-purity gas supply systems, deposition furnaces, melting furnaces, sintering furnaces, annealing furnaces, and optical inspection equipment. The midstream consists of synthetic quartz material manufacturers that conduct high-purity silicon source conversion, gas-phase deposition, dehydroxylation treatment, sintering vitrification, melting and forming, annealing, cutting, grinding, polishing, and inspection to produce quartz ingots, plates, tubes, rods, substrates, and optical blanks. Downstream applications mainly include semiconductors, optoelectronics, aerospace, medical, and other fields.
