Inorganic electrolytes typically feature high ionic conductivity, strong chemical stability, and low cost, though their electrochemical stability window is generally narrower than that of organic electrolytes.

Inorganic electrolytes are electrolytes based on inorganic salt solutions, used in sodium-ion batteries, solid-state batteries, and some high-temperature batteries to enable ion transport between electrodes for electrochemical reactions. The upstream mainly includes suppliers of inorganic salts such as lithium chloride, lithium fluoride, sulfates, solvent and additive suppliers, and high-purity processing and solution preparation providers. Downstream applications focus on high-temperature energy storage systems, sodium-ion batteries, electric vehicle solid-state batteries, and industrial energy storage, with high requirements for ionic conductivity, chemical stability, thermal stability, and electrochemical window.

The development trend of inorganic electrolytes focuses on increasing ionic conductivity, reducing interfacial resistance, expanding electrochemical window, enhancing thermal stability and cycle life, and ensuring compatibility with solid-state and high-voltage battery systems.
