It is used as a lower-carbon substitute or supplement to Portland cement in precast concrete, repair mortar, industrial floors, infrastructure components and specialty construction materials. The product can use fly ash, slag, calcined clay or other mineral sources and offers high early strength, chemical resistance and reduced embodied carbon. The market excludes ordinary Portland cement, ready-mixed concrete and non-activated mineral fillers.

The industry chain includes fly ash, slag, metakaolin, calcined clay, alkaline activators, silicate solutions, admixtures, fillers, packaging materials and mixing equipment. Midstream production covers raw material processing, formula design, grinding, blending, activation system preparation, quality testing and packaging. Downstream demand comes from precast concrete, low-carbon buildings, infrastructure, repair materials, industrial flooring, marine engineering and municipal projects.
