Fenoxaprop-p-ethyl technical grade herbicide is an aryloxyphenoxypropionic acid (AOPP) selective systemic herbicide with pinythium-methyl as the active ingredient. It is mainly used for the control of grassy weeds in fields of wheat, barley, sugar beets, soybeans, cotton, rapeseed, and vegetables. Its mechanism of action is to inhibit acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACCase) in plants, blocking fatty acid biosynthesis, thereby disrupting weed cell membrane formation and growth point development, ultimately leading to the death of susceptible grassy weeds. Phenythium-methyl is characterized by high activity, low dosage, and strong selectivity, and has good control efficacy against annual and some perennial grassy weeds such as wild oats, American oleander, foxtail millet, crabgrass, and barnyard grass.

The upstream of the industry chain mainly includes suppliers of aryloxyphenoxypropionic acid intermediates, fluorinated aromatic compounds, chiral resolution raw materials, solvents, and fine chemical raw materials. The purity of key intermediates and chiral synthesis processes have a significant impact on product quality. The midstream consists of companies involved in the synthesis, esterification, refining, and formulation processing of quizalofop-P-ethyl technical, focusing on the control of highly active P-type isomers, impurity reduction, and environmentally friendly production processes.
