Electric vehicle thick-film materials refers to a class of functional thick-film materials used in electric vehicles for electronics, power control, sensing, and thermal-management systems. These materials are typically formulated from metal powders, glass powders, inorganic oxides, and organic vehicles, and are deposited by screen printing followed by drying and firing/curing to form conductive, resistive, dielectric/insulating, or protective layers on ceramic, metal, or other substrates. In EVs, they are mainly used in BMS, OBC, DC-DC converters, inverters, sensors, LED thermal substrates, and thick-film heaters such as HVCH and battery heaters.

The upstream of EV thick film paste includes silver, palladium, platinum, gold, copper, nickel and other metal powders, ruthenium-based resistive phases, glass frits, inorganic oxides, resins, and organic solvents. The midstream centers on formulation, dispersion, rheology control, printability tuning, and firing compatibility. The downstream includes thick-film resistors, ceramic sensor circuits, hybrid ICs, power-electronics ceramic substrates, LED ceramic substrates, and thick-film heaters.
