Its core function is not to increase concrete strength or replace curing compound used at later stages, but to prevent excessive surface water loss under high-temperature, dry, windy or low-humidity construction conditions. By doing so, it helps reduce plastic shrinkage cracking, surface drying cracks, scaling and finishing difficulty, thereby improving concrete surface quality and early-stage crack resistance.
Its upstream raw materials mainly include surfactants, polymer emulsions, film-forming additives, water-retention components, solvents, water-based carriers, stabilizers and other functional additives. The midstream consists of concrete admixture and construction chemical manufacturers, which are responsible for formulation blending, production of concentrated or ready-to-use products, stability control and construction compatibility.
