In 2020, the construction of Continental's electronic suspension system in Changshu, China began, and it will be put into operation in 2021. In August 2022, the second phase expansion project will be launched. Continental's first phase project in Changshu, China produces and assembles air suspension modules and air supply systems, while the second phase project will add an annual output of 600,000 air springs and 100,000 air supply systems, and introduce production lines for key components such as airbags to comprehensively improve the overall production system of air springs. The second phase project is expected to be put into use in 2024.

Vibracoustic established a new plant in Chongqing, China in July 2023 with a total investment of 170 million euros. The new plant focuses on the production of comprehensive NVH products, including engine mounts, chassis bushings, isolators and dampers. In addition, Vibracoustic started air spring production at its Wuxi plant in China, which is the first time Vibracoustic has produced air springs in China.
